I've finished watching 'Itoshi Kimi e' last week. It's about a man who's about to lose his eyesight from a rare illness. **Losing one's eyesight and yet finding love - yaks, that sounded old and crappy, ahaha** I usually stay away from tearjerkers. My sole reason for watching this one is Nao. I've been watching Naohito Fujiki's dramas lately after seeing him in Hotaru no Hikari. He's not only Buchou, but he's also the original Hanazawa Rui! . . . . . But, ahem, I digress.

I commend this drama for making me cry. But it's not sappy. The storylines were good. Although there's just a few scenes - that are supposed to be moving - which made me and my sister laugh and wonder, like that one scene in the last episode that could've been better. But, oh well, I'll let that go since it's a good drama, in all fairness.

Even my mom stayed up really late just to finish this drama. Just before the last episode, my mom said she's really sleepy, but she wouldn't and couldn't sleep until she sees the ending. My sister and I died laughing.

Here's one dialogue from the drama that I really like,

Shunsuke: Well, she's more kind of half-work than really a girlfriend.

Shiki: You just said she's your girlfriend, didn't you?

Shunsuke: Well, I guess it would be half-girlfriend, rather than work? To put it bluntly, she's the daughter of a major sponsor of my work.

Shiki: You don't like her?

Shunsuke: That's why it's "half"

Shiki: I don't understand what you mean

Shunsuke: Is it that hard to understand?

Shiki: I can't understand. it's absurd, a lover who is half work, half love.

Shunsuke: It happens to everyone. It could be half marriage, half love . . . or half pity, half love.

Shiki: If you put milk in coffee, it would no longer be coffee. It would be latté, wouldn't it?

Shunsuke: It could be "coffee milk".

Shiki: Well, I don't care what you call it, but if it's half-way, I don't think it's a relationship.

Shunsuke: Then can you say that you've been in a relationship that wasn't a "latté"?

Pero naiinis pa rin ako!

干物女

Himono onna

= Dried fish woman.

I got this from the jdrama 'Hotaru no Hikari'. This expression describes women who are in their 20s, do not go out on dates or with friends/colleagues, would rather laze around at home, reading manga or drinking beer. In short, women with no social life.

Naku, ako yata 'to ah (O_O) *except the 'drinking beer' part*. I've been watching too much of jdramas. Tsk tsk tsk

Anyway, Hotaru no Hikari is a good drama.

Hotaru no Hikaru's synopsis from Dramawiki:

Hotaru works for a famous interior design
company. It's a glamorous job but Hotaru's private life is totally the opposite of glamorous. She lives alone, and when she isn't working she's mostly lazing about her rented house in training wear. She's not interested in men. In fact, she isn't interested in anything. "I'd rather lay around than fool around," is her motto.

Her landlord is a bar owner, and one day his son, who has just separated from his wife, comes to inspect the rental property, not knowing that someone is living there. He is shocked at the mess, but not as shocked as Hotaru. He turns out to be her boss, Takano. -- Japan Times Online

And here's some screencaps from the drama,

**crush ko si Buchou! My friend said I have an 'older-men fetish' and he's really worried about me. Come to think of it . . . . No, I don't think I have though. Hahaha**

Haaaaaaaaay . . . . how adorable . . . hahahaha

Hyde's new Photobook's title is "HYDE IS DEAD 2002-2008". I can't say I like the title - but I thought it's kinda cool, considering that he's no longer going solo (no longer just 'HYDE') and he'll be under VAMPS now with K.A.Z.

Also, from what L'Arc said on their 1st day in Tokyo Dome, there might be a PV for both NEXUS4 and Shine. Wuhoooooooo!

And from Eleonora's Live report, before the band played HONEY2007, Hyde and Tetsu did a bit of Titanic scene on the prow (Hyde was Jack and Tecchan was Rose). Then Hyde went to Yukki and kissed him on the cheek.
